The air is getting crisp and leaves are beginning to change their colors.
We just passed the 1st day of fall on the calendar. It’s the beginning of a new season.
But have you ever noticed that stores start stocking new seasonal items far in advance?
They begin advertising back-to-school and pumpkin spice while summer is still in full swing!
It’s natural to start looking forward to the next season on the calendar, but it can be costly when we start doing this with the seasons of our lives.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”(NIV)
What kind of season are you in right now?
Sometimes it can be easy to overlook (and even despise) our current seasons because we are craving the start of something new.
But God has a purpose for today—and not just tomorrow.
Don’t miss what God wants to do in this season because you’re focused on the next.
So I invite you to join with me in offering your current season to God, asking Him to have His way in it and in you.
Each season is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to see God and draw closer to His heart.
